There are so many books I’m dying to read at the moment! It’s become so many that I just had to do a post on some of them. i promise, I’ll eventually get my hands on all of them.
The Silkworm- Robert Galbraith (J.K. Rowling)
I’m dying to read the newest work from the pen of j.K.Rowling, pseudonym Robert Galbraith. I read the first one, The Cuckoo’s Calling and quite enjoyed it, so I’m eager to continue observing the life of Detective Comoran Strike. Even though crime isn’t exactly my cup of tea, TCC is so well written that it has me eager for the sequel.
A Walk to Remember -Nicholas Sparks
As I’ve said before on here, I’m quite a big Nicholas Sparks fan. I’ve read a good few of his books, but somehow I’ve missed A Walk to Remember! I’ve heard good things about it, so I’m dying to see what I think. I’ve also heard that it’s a tear-jerker, however, so I’ll have the tissues at the ready!
The Land of Stories: A Grimm Warning – Chris Colfer
This is another one which I’ve read the previous novels of – I absolutely loved the other Land of Stories books! I wouldn’t have thought before reading them that many modern authors would be capable of taking on classic fairy tales and putting a modern twist on it successfully, but Chris Colfer has done it!
Harry Potter et la Chambre des Secrets – J.K. Rowling
I’ve been reading Philosopher’s Stone en Français for quite a while now, in an attempt to improve my French, but I’m glad to say that I’m nearly finished. I don’t know if it’s improved my French or not, but Harry spotter is Harry Potter, and I’d read it in any language.
Im going to give Chamber of Secrets a go soon enough!
Chaos Walking Trilogy – Patrick Ness
I know, I’m living under a rock with this one. I’ve been meaning to read this series for years, but I’ve never gotten around to it. I hear Patrick Ness is an amazing author, so I’ll just have to find out for myself when I eventually get around to reading the chaos Walking Trilogy.
Ape House – Sara Gruen
I want to read this book, because even though I haven’t heard much about it, I’ve read Water for Elephants and I absolutely love it. I think Sara Gruen is quite a talented author, and I want to see if the rest of her work lives up to the standard of Water for Elephants.
Elvis and Me – Priscilla Presley
I have no acceptable reason for wanting to read this – I’m obsessed with Elvis and Priscilla Presley, he’s one of two of my favourite singers ever (the other is Amy Winehouse). I am obsessed with his relationship with Priscilla, I just think that together they are everything I love about the sixties. I want to read this book because a) Priscilla wrote it and b) I want to learn more about Elvis. I find them so fascinating, I’m just dying to read this!
Have you read any of these books? Do you have any more recommendations?
