Finally – my Cork Blog Meet Goodie Bag #2 post! In my previous posts I’ve discussed the events of the day, as well as the goodie bags that Zoë from zoewithumlauts.com put together. Debenhams, The Body Shop, Inglot and Mememe were so generous that I had to do another post about the items that they kindly contributed.
The first thing we saw when we were taken into Debenhams were these gorgeous bags set out on every chair. The Britney Spears Fantasy bag is such a handy size for make up, I always love getting new make up bags. They also gave us lovely Taylor by Taylor Swift bags that I can’t wait to incorporate into future outfits, as well as an abundance of perfume samples. They also gave us a Dolce and Gabanna iPad case which I gave to my delighted Granny, as she has the iPad model that the case was designed for.
The next thing that Debenhams gave us was this Lancome Advanced Génefique Youth Activating Concentrate – this is absolutely divine. I ended up giving this to my mum, who was also delighted.
Technically this isn’t a product we were given, but we were told about this 007 For Women Fragrance and given sample cards to smell, and it is absolutely divine! I definitely have my eye on it now.
On the day of the meetup, Clarins informed us that unfortunately our gifts from them had been lost in the post! They took our emails, however, and soon had the lost gifts posted to us. I was so happy to come home from school last Wednesday to discover a package from Clarins. They sent us Beauty Flash Balm and also Treatment Fragrance, and I can’t wait to give both of them a try.
Urban Decay is one of my favourite brands, so I was ecstatic when they gave us an eyeshadow and an eyeliner. The eyeshadow I got was Midnight Cowgirl and the eyeliner was Perversion. These are also on my list of things to try immediately!
This is probably my favourite item from the day – when Debenhams kindly gave us €50 vouchers I knew immediately that I wanted a Dior Lipstick. I’ve been looking at them for months, so I seized the chance and got a deep plum shade. I had some money left over as well, so I also invested in an Artdeco Royal Effem mascara. These will definitely be featuring in a future post.
Next is Elizabeth Arden – they were so generous! When we arrived first we were given Eight hour Cream and Combination Cleanser, and when we went onto the floor we were also given a little sample of Matte Foundation and also a Matte Makeover voucher.
The body shop gave us a little goodie bag with a Lip and Cheek Tint and nail polish in a bright red shade, as well as a voucher for a Free Eyebrow Threading. I also treated myself to a BB Cream and a Poppy Body Butter.
Isa Dora gave us goodie bags with Sensation Fluid Foundation, an amazing looking Face Contour and a Colour Correcting Concealer which I’ve heard is great. They also gave us an Eye Colour Bar which I gave to my sister, as she doesn’t have a palette with golds in it. I also got a Flashing Volume Mascara and one of their new brushes. I was so delighted to get all this lovely make up!
The last goodie bags we got were from Mememe. They gave us a lovely Ultimate Eye Palette in Classic, which is full of lovely nudes and shimmery shades. They also gave us a Mememe Nail File and a gorgeous shade of Long Lasting Glow Nail Polish in a nude that looks like it will match anything. All in all, a lovely goodie bag to get!
So that brings my posts about the Blog Meetup to an end – I hope you’ve enjoyed reading them as much as I’ve enjoyed writing them. I’m so thrilled with all my new make up, and I’m sure I’ll be writing about many of these products for months to come! I definitely hope to go to more events like this in the future – who knows, I may even organise one some time in the distance when my exams are over..
