On my third day at London Fashion Week AW16 I attended an event called “Fashion’s Finest”, which was a group show showcasing three “up and coming” designers – Linda Blissett, Valennci, and Gia Vivianna. This was a thoroughly enjoyable event and it was extremely interesting to see what each designer had to offer.
I’m not doing a full outfit post from the third day, so I’m just going to discuss what I wore in this post! Once again, I wore my black coat from Primark/Penneys and medium blue bag from New Look. For this outfit I incorporated a “skater-cut” skirt, also from Primark, which fitted quite nicely with the cut of the coat. On top I wore a 90s necked crop top, with a purple and blue print that I love, from Miss Selfridge at Debenhams, and for shoes I wore my amazing purple heeled ankle boots, which are also from Primark.
I really enjoyed how artistic the designs in these shows were – as you can see there were some really innovative designs in both the dresses and clothes, but also the amazingly crafted headpieces and accessories. Just look at that feathered headpiece! The vibrancy of the colours used also really stood out, with an abundance of bright oranges and reds, contrasting sharply with the harsh blacks which were also very prominent. Overall, I was extremely impressed by the intricacy of these collections and can’t wait to see what they do in the future!
