As some of you may know, I’ve been on holidays in La Baule, France for the past two weeks. I was quite short of money over there, seeing as buying my camera last month set me back a good bit, but I still managed to pick up a few bits and pieces, which I will discuss in this post. I’d also like to apologise for the bad quality of the pictures in this post – my memory card reader broke so I can’t use my DSLR until the new card reader arrives.
Xposé, Vogue Paris, Glamour and Cosmopolitan Magazines
Whenever I’m in France I like to pick up French magazines, because they’re so cheap and I find it’s a really good way to improve my French! This time I got Xposé, Vogue Paris, Cosmopolitan, and Glamour. Most of these cosy under €2 each, so I couldn’t not buy them!
Friends Season One in French
I bought this in another attempt to improve my French, because I love Friends! I think it’s so funny and I can watch it again and again and it will be easy to understand what’s going on.
I was disappointed with this, however when I tried to watch it and the first disc didn’t work at all. They’ll be getting a strongly worded letter in their letter boxes this month!
Tribord Bikini with Interchangeable Straps
This bikini cost me €18 altogether in Decathlon, and the reason I bought it was because I loved that you could change the straps with other, more colourful ones which they had for sale there. I bought a blue one with plain blue straps and colourful straps with a purple and blue design on them for €3.
Yves Rocher Ombré Nails Set
This set was such good value! It cost me €1.99 for each nail varnish, €2.50 for the sponge and €3.50 for the top coat. I love the ombré nail design, but I haven’t quite got the hang of doing it. When I do I’ll be sure to do a post about it!
Salted Butter Caramel Scented Candle
This Salted Caramel scented candle smells like heaven. Seriously. It’s my favourite purchase from France, I bought it for €6.50 in a salt farm museum called la Terre de Guerande. I was debating whether to buy it or not, but I’m so glad I did!
I also bought a few postcards to stick on my wall of the places we went because I liked the pictures!
It was a really good holiday, I really enjoyed it and I’ve got some more posts coming soon about some of the things I did, so keep an eye out for that.
Have you been on any holidays this summer?
