Guess what? It’s Christmas, school is over and that makes me so happy! Since getting home from school I’ve been listening to Christmas music, relaxing and taking in the christmassy-ness (as well as making like a million blog plans.) Some songs just always stand out to me at this time, so I’ve decided to share them in a post! Obviously, most of these won’t be new to anyone, but I’m just really loving Christmas music at the moment so I decided to put my favourites together in a playlist.
Do they Know It’s Christmas – Band Aid
O Holy Night
I just wanted to put in here that I love this song, but certain versions are just goosebump, tear-inducing. One such version I can’t post here unfortunately as it was sung by two girls who used to go to my school in the local church on Christmas eve. There wasn’t a dry eye in the audience! Lea Michele’s version, however, comes pretty close so that’s the one I’ve shared here.
God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen – Glee Version
Fairytale of New York – The Pogues ft.Kirsty MacColl
Carol of the Bells
Baby it’s Cold Outside – Glee Version /Idina Menzel + Michael Buble Version/ Lady Gaga + Joseph Gordon-Levitt Version
Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas – Judy Garland
Happy Xmas (War is Over) – John Lennon
Do You Hear what I Hear
What Are You Doing Christmas Eve? Idina Menzel
Where are you Christmas? Taylor Momsen
These are my favourite Christmas songs – they make me so happy! If you haven’t listened to any of them, I really would recommend giving them a listen.
