This month I’ve been doing a lot of relaxing and getting my life back to normal after the end of my exams, so naturally this has meant more box sets and netflix, as well as reading time! This definitely reflects on my favourites this month, which also feature some more summery items.
I love drinking smoothies during the summer – they make me feel so good, and I love being able to make a healthy choice that still tastes delicious. My favourite smoothies at the moment are from the brand Naked, and I love both their “Orange Machine” which is mango flavour and their “Green Machine” which contains kiwis, apples and pineapples. They’re available in all good food shops, so if you haven’t tried them you should definitely give them a go this summer!
How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful
Favourite album of this month goes to “How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful” by Florence + The Machine. I’ve been listening to it on repeat on my spotify, and my favourites off the album are Queen of Peace, How Big How Blue How Beautiful and Various Storms and Saints. This album has such a high, impressive standard that definitely lives up to their previous albums and I can’t wait to see them live in September!
V+S Art on Paper Notebook
I love collecting new notebooks – I can never stop myself when I see pretty notebooks sitting in shops! Last week I was in Vibes & Scribes when I came across this gem for only €1.99 and I knew immediately I had to buy it. I love the design, the colour and the size – perfect for carrying in my handbag! The whole range is so cute, I’ll definitely be buying more in the future.
My Week With Marilyn
This was another bargain I picked up in Vibes & Scribes for €4.99! I was immediately intrigued when I read the blurb, and I’m so happy I found it. I really loved this book and now I’m so fascinated by Marilyn Monroe’s life. I also watched the film, in which Eddie Redmayne played Colin, the “Gofer” who fell in love with Marilyn and also starring Michelle Williams as Marilyn, Emma Watson, Kenneth Branagh and Judi Dench ( basically the dream cast of Britain) which portrayed the story so well! I recommend this film to anyone interested in historical/20th Century romances.
Suits Box Set
I started watching Suits last year, and it quickly became one of my favourite shows! This month the season 4 box set was finally released and I’ve spent all month catching up on it. This show is hilarious, and I love the characters so much. Season 4 has been just as good as all of the other ones, and I’ve loved seeing the development of all the relationships through this season. (Still no Darvey. SIGH.) I can’t wait to see what happens in season 5!
So this is what I’ve been loving in my life this month – I can’t wait to see what other people have been enjoying! Next month I expect my favourites will be quite different seeing as I’ll be spending 3 weeks in Canada, so keep an eye out for that. I’m finally getting excited now that the time has come to start making plans and packing!
