So here it is… the much awaited Urban Decay Naked Smoky Palette! Although I’ve been trying to move away from product reviews, I knew immediately that this one was an exception. Urban Decay is one of my favourite brands, and this palette definitely doesn’t dissappoint!
The first thing that stood out to me about this palette was the colours. It features a wide range of lights and darks, but primarily focuses on purples and silvers. It seems to be similar to the “Smoked” palette, but with more colours in a larger variety. The shades that stand out to me the most are “Smolder”, which is a deep purple, “Black Market” , a gorgeous dark grey, and “Armor”, a lighter silver shade. I can’t wait to try out some looks with these colours!
Another thing I love about this palette is the beautiful packaging – in keeping with the name it’s mainly grey and features a design with smoke swirling on the front. This palette also comes with a double ended brush with one end for applying shadows and the other for blending, which is an added bonus. The shadows, as usual for Urban Decay, are so pigmented in application and give an extremely bright, vivid finish.
This palette is available in shops from August 6th, and already has a waiting list of 10,000 people. I’d definitely recommend buying it, but if you’re not on the waiting list you could be waiting a while! It’s another impressive release from Urban Decay and I can’t wait to see what they come out with next.
