I did one of these posts featuring some bloggers I enjoyed reading shortly after I began blogging – and surprisingly I haven’t done one since. After over a year reading blogs since then, I’ve discovered many more blogs I love reading. I still enjoy many of the ones I first posted about, so you can read about them here. I hope to do these posts more often, as it’s nice to spread the love and give other bloggers some recognition and praise when I enjoy their work! (If you want to check out their blogs, click the name and it will take you to them.)
Jane is an Irish blogger and youtuber, who blogs about fashion, beauty and other aspects of her life. I discovered this blog through mutual followers on Twitter, and quickly became a regular reader! I really enjoy her outfit posts, as they’re always so nice and styles I want to try. I also like her music posts as they’re in keeping with my taste in music and when there’s songs I haven’t heard I get to go and listen to them!
Leanne is an alternative Dublin blogger and youtuber, and her strong aesthetic and point of view in her outfit posts always has me clicking back. I also love reading/watching her make up tutorials, which are often inspired by previous decades, and seeing her experience of different music festivals – a great guide when picking one to go to! Everything on her wish list posts is always gorgeous and I always end up wanting everything on them, and I also like how she’s not afraid to speak her mind and give her opinion on unpopular or controversial issues. I also enjoy seeing her influences as they’re often people I have an interest in too!
I had the privilege of meeting Sinead Burke, AKA Minnie Mélange at a UCC Journalism society event a few weeks ago, and she was absolutely so nice and wonderful to talk to. Her blog features posts about a range of subjects, mostly focused on fashion themed posts and interviews with “extraordinary women, ” such as Saoirse Ronan, Paloma Faith and Moya Doherty. Something that really stands out to me about these interviews is that she purposely doesn’t ask the “usual questions” that these people get asked in every other interview, to which most of the answers could be googled. (It’s a pet hate of mine when interviewers do this.) I also love her fashion posts – London Fashion Week, fashion history, a post about a relevant fashion personality. Whichever it is, there always so interesting and it makes me want to read more about whatever the topic is.
As soon as I discovered this blog, I knew it was going to be one of my favourites. Apart from having a fab name (ahem), I was immediately drawn into Zoe’s whole point of view. I love her style and I always want to try out different looks from her outfit posts. Reading her blog also makes me want to dye my hair all of the colours! I also enjoy her posts about London Fashion Week, they make me want to go even more. Another thing that stands out to me about Zoe is how real she is, and how she isn’t afraid to give her own opinion about slightly more controversial topics. Her music posts and playlists are also of great interest to me as I have a similar taste and I love discovering new music through her blog!
Two Sisters Bloggin’//Isha & Hanna
This blog is written by two Irish sisters, Isha and Hanna, and it combines two things I love – books and fashion! As an avid reader I’m always looking for recommendations, and I find their reviews are a great place to get them. Reading their book posts makes me want to put more effort into my reading category – something that I’ve been neglecting recently. I also love seeing their outfits and fashion posts, they’re always so pretty and well composed, and they make me want to buy everything they feature (like my wish list isn’t long enough already.) I also love their instagram feeds, which are also perfect, and definitely worth a follow.
I also met Aisling earlier this year at the Cork blog meet, organised by ZoëWithUmlauts, and when I did my first thought was “I love that girl’s hair.” (This is another one that makes me want to dye my hair all of the colours.) Aisling does makeup tutorials and reviews, and often features all of the pretty palettes from Urban Decay that I either have or want. I also really enjoyed the posts she did about tattoos, where she interviewed different people about the tattoos they have and their experiences with them (I don’t even have any and I still found these posts very interesting.) I also like her posts about events she goes to, which always make me want the new releases from whatever brand it is! Aisling’s instagram is also worth following, with delicious food, gorgeous makeup and crafty projects that I always want to try.
This is another Irish blog, run by Grace. I like this blog firstly because of Grace’s style posts – quirky and individual but always so nice and stylish. I also enjoy her humour and how honest she is, which always makes her posts easy to read. Her music posts are great too because I also share some of the same taste, and I her makeup posts and tutorials are also fab, particularly around halloween!
So these are some of the blogs I’m currently reading at the moment – I always love discovering new ones to read so if there’s any I’ve been missing in my life and need to read feel free to comment them below. I really enjoyed putting this post together so I’m definitely going to try do these more often, because there are so many blogs I like to read. I also have some exciting Christmas posts planned so stay tuned for them!
See You Soon,
