A few weeks ago I was contacted by the lovely people at Target Dry.Com, and given the opportunity to review this lovely coat which I have absolutely fallen in love with since receiving. This post is way overdue, as I’ve had exams and all that, but I’ve finally gotten around to writing it. I had the opporunity to take these pictures over the holidays when my sister’s/my old choir was singing Griffith’s Garden Centre in Dripsey and we all went out to watch them. The garden centre had a big woods – like area with some really nice viewing points, so I brought my camera and I’m so glad I did.
The first thing that stood out to me about this coat was the hood – I’ve had many a coat with tiny, flimsy hoods that don’t serve their purpose at all, so I was delighted to see the size of the hood on this! I’ve worn it in the rain a few times now, and it’s done such a good job keeping rain off my face. The hood is lined with a thin, removable strip of fur that makes it nice looking as well.
The weather has also been getting colder recently, and because of this I was delighted to find that this coat is so warm and cosy. This is as a result of the lightweight insulation layer, which I found to be to my satisfaction aswell.
Something that also attracted me about this coat was the gorgeous colour – it’s available in many bright shades, but this shade of green called “military green” immediately caught my eye. It’s such an easy colour to wear! I’ve seen green outdoor jackets that are too bright to wear most places, so I was happy to see it in this slightly more toned down green.
The one thing that I was slightly dissatisfied with at first was the zip – every time it took a bit of fumbling to zip up, there’s definitely a knack to it! However, a few tries and I’ve gotten used to it. I wouldn’t see it as a big problem, and now that I’ve gotten the knack of it I wouldn’t see it as a problem at all.
This Georgia Parka is available on TargetDry.com for £74.99, and for the amount I’ve worn it I’d say it’s definitely a good investment. I would recommend this to anyone who does any kind of outdoor activities, or even anyone who’s in need of a warm winter jacket!
What do you think of this jacket? Will you be visiting TargetDry?
